On a day in September 1996, I experienced a creative insight that began my journey towards the development of "A Guided Journey to Self Mastery®". I felt an alignment to the Angels of Ideas and was unable to ignore the vision that I received. From this I started work on the game Self Mastery® and the Self Mastery Source Cards.

At the initial stage I called the game The Guardian Angel Journey, but this was soon to change as I consulted the game for myself on how to proceed with the development of it. The journal that I wrote from playing the game became an oracle that was uncannily accurate, and it guided me towards the steps needed to be taken to get the game up and running.

The question that I asked the game was this; "What messages do I need to receive in order for The Guardian Angel Journey to unfold to perfection, and what pitfalls and challenges should I be aware of? What are the best solutions for overcoming any blockages that may arise?".

Following is a shortened version of what I received from playing The Guardian Angel Journey Game and how I acted upon it. (This is a very compacted version, when you play the game for yourself you will find that it takes much more writing than this.)

The Physical Plane opened up with the word 'cleanse' and said 'If something is not quite right try a different approach', it then lead me on to the messages 'You will receive tangible results. Number 8'. I had to question what this ment, as the game encourages you to explore the messages that you receive. As I am a numerologist I decided to analyse the number of the name The Guardian Angel Journey to see if it vibrated to an 8, it didn't. I also rang a solicitor to see if I was able to register the name. I then deciphered the number vibrations of Trivial Pursuit, Scrabble and Monopoly, and they all calculated to 8. I observed this information and then continued to read the notes I had taken during the playing of the game.

The next messages were 'Don't scatter but align. Your plans will involve many people', from this I started playing the game with other people to gain their input from it as well.

It then directed me to 'An enthusiastic approach is necessary. Eliminate. Stop, think and listen. A deep sadness. A grieving process is necessary to let go of the past.' A Gift card that I received said 'Movement forward', while a Challenge card said that I must change my attitude and seek alternatives.

As I moved into the Emotional Plane, I received the messages 'Death of the old. Continue, keep going no matter how challenging it is. Change your attitude to it'. It just so happened that the solicitor rang me to tell me that I was unable to use the name The Guardian Angel Journey as someone had already registered the name. So I did need to change my attitude to the game's name, continue, and find a new name.

I immediately set about brain storming a new name. For weeks I worked on names that vibrated to 8 yet nothing seemed right, so again I looked back on my notes that I had taken while playing the game to see if it could offer me any insight.

The Intuitive Doorway card directed me to 'Reflection - perceive differently, peace is coming after a difficult passage, a key is found.'

At this stage of the game's development the final card that one collects is called the Revelation card, mine read like this; 'Your genius will find a way and your wisdom will guide you to self mastery. Manifestation.' I realised that I was being guided to Self Mastery, but did it vibrate to an 8? Yes! In fact Self Mastery vibrates to 44/8 which means universal concepts, authenticity, concerted effort and integrity. 44 is a number that helps towards the advancement of world culture, heals and unites the practical with higher philosophies. It also encompasses truth, honesty and high principles, as well as the uniting of nations and cultures.

The gems of wisdom found within Self Mastery® come from many cultures, from the modern and ancient alchemists, new age teachings, guides and first hand experience. The game creates a thread of unity that guides the player on their own journey of self mastery.

Almost three years after the initial development of Self Mastery®, I took the game and the Numerology Source Cards to Egypt with me for the purpose of placing them in the Kings Chamber of the Great Pyramid. The powerful vibrations that I received while in meditation here, initiated, aligned and facilitated the process of spiritual resurrection and healing. The energies of this powerful place established the channelling of the Self Mastery Source cards, which were then added to complete the game.
