In July 2002 I spoke to a group of people who call themselves "The Academy of Light" about my own personal journey with Self Mastery, a self-development game. After my talk I opened the floor to questions relating to my story.

Carlos, an Atomic and Cosmic Healer and teacher now living in Singapore asked the first question: "Sally, when do you love yourself?" Not a question I would have ever envisaged after relating my 7 year journey. Apart from nearly falling off my chair and verbalising aaaah, I heard a voice say, "Don't say you don't know!". Apparently I said, "When I do not doubt. When I am Trust".

This is in fact the key to creating Self Mastery. When I was Trust, Faith, Surrender, Whole, I was given in those moments the next step in the process of the unfolding information of this board game, a transformational tool that brings insight, solutions to problems, identifies what the self needs and helps activate healing and self realisation.

In the spring of 1996, I experienced an altered state, a non-rational vision. I witnessed a group of very tall Beings in pale robes. They stood around an eight sided crystal platform and with great animation and excitement beckoned me to view their gift. I regarded these creatures as Angels, messengers with information for me to take note of.

Part of my essence was taking in the sequence of events while simultaneously writing and drawing what I was shown and told. This was The Guardian Angel Journey. The process began.

A prototype board game was developed quite quickly due to miracles and a series of events. I am an illustrator, a numerologist, symbologist, destiny alchemist, dyslexic (perfect not to make intellectual sense of it all), and had been on a conscious roller coaster course of self-development since 1980 and had kept diaries and gems of information which I found were the perfect pieces needed for the game. An old computer arrived out of the blue (I could start typing the full manuscript, instructions, symbol booklets and the cards).

My daughter came home to live and she is a graphic designer, able to typeset my writings and design a web site. A friend offered to take the scanned artwork and create the board base. As it began to evolve I became conscious that what I was developing was, in fact, a board game. I realised I knew nothing about such things, didn't play games because I thought myself too stupid due to dyslexia to understand instructions, and yet I had this unshakeable passion to keep going. Many times I was left in the wilderness waiting for the next step to be revealed. The Spirit of the game would come to me and show its Light when I was lost in my darkness.

Shopping in Chatswood one day, when I was particularly negative and confused about the Journey, a crazy woman ran towards me yelling, "Surrender, Surrender, Surrender." What a reminder to do so. I received guidance before the flow began again....

Angel: "What dreams do you want to achieve?"

Sally: "I have not dreamt of this as yet."

Angel: "Start within yourself. A creative thought needs to be physically activated so it becomes a reality and a tangible result manifested. Nothing just happens unless the mind, body and spirit work in conjunction with each other. A synthesis takes place."

Sally: "I have been searching for my missing links so that all parts come together to create flow."

Angel: "Surrender and allow the spirit to guide you."

So I surrendered and the information began to flow. Many friends helped by playing the game with me and from the many questions we asked the Guardian Angel Journey the information was relayed back to me. One of the gems was, "Consult a solicitor." This was one of four consistent messages I received. The other three were: "Still more to do", "Be patient", "Have faith". After 7 years I still receive the guidance of patience, trust and faith. I was unable to register the name Guardian Angel Journey and through synchronicity I was led to the name Self Mastery.

The initial meeting with the solicitor was not until June 1998 and a couple of weeks later he would ring me with the findings relating to the name and registration.

In February 1998 I had asked of The Guardian Angel Journey: "What progressional forces unfold for me with the Guardian Angel Journey. What pitfalls and challenges am I to be aware of and steps needed to be taken so the game unfolds positively and perfectly?"

In June, I was rereading the pages of my game play in my journal. This is a precis of the information I received. "Cleanse the game, use common sense, rejuvenate and commit to resolve the problems if I was to create tangible results. Number 8. I needed to make adjustments, change my attitude, break down existing forms and find the key." At this point of the reading this is when the solicitor rang to inform me I could not register the name. Even though I had not completed reading my game play I closed my journal in somewhat of an annoyed state. The name The Guardian Angel Journey had been that since the spring of 1996 and I had become very attached to it. I turned my attention to the cryptic message, "Number 8."

Numerology is the science of numbers used to analyse the characteristics of a name. Each letter of the alphabet is designated with a number and the patterns of numbers creates a story, a little like reading the hieroglyphics. Did the name The Guardian Angel Journey vibrated to 8? It didn't. I expanded my creativity and worked out that Trivial Pursuit, Scrabble and Monopoly all vibrate to 8. I brainstormed names vibrating to 8 for two weeks and nothing seemed right. I surrendered;

Angel: "Go back to your reading and read your Revelation."

I read, "Your genius will find a way and you will be led to self mastery." It vibrated to 44/8 and it was registered with ease. 44 means: laying down foundations for future achievement, universal concepts, opportunity to promote high principles, working under Higher Authority, building the steps to the divine, linked to higher wisdom. The seed of God;

Angel: "Go in peace and reflect the beauty from your heart into the souls of others so that you bring inspiration for others to do the same."

I always knew that plastic could not be used for marking one's movement around the physical, emotional, mental and intuitive planes. A semiprecious stone became the talisman or moving piece. As you consult Self Mastery you move your stone corresponding to the number on a thrown dice. The guidance I received as to why using stones rather than plastic was so important and powerful came in a strange form. Some guidance that I didn't fully understand, said: "Realms of polished stones and Polish your stones." This got my attention. I asked for more guidance;

Angel: "A polished stone is being on earth but reflecting the brilliance of above."

The stones in the game take on the energy of the Soul of Self Mastery. No matter what dice is thrown the stones are like magnetic fields that moves the individual to understanding their own movement towards self mastery. It is the magnetic energy that resonates with the higher forces to align them to the movement that is uniquely theirs and the magnetic energy enhances their own healings and understanding of all that is there for them to master in their lives. The stones issue forth ways to move and messages to follow. The rolling stone (dice) takes all the information that is given and collects it to create the words of what matters to them. The stones resonate to the same rate of energy as the individual. Yes the stones are far more important than you thought. They carry vibrations that direct the dice for the individual to receive the very information that is of healing, beneficial and appropriate. When one begins to resonate to a higher energy one can create their dreams and master their life.

Numerous dreams gave me the colour combination for the packaging along with guidance that has confirmed and supported my process. I went to Egypt in November 1999. I was fortunate enough to have time to meditate in the Kings Chamber of The Great Pyramid of Cheops. (We were the last group ever allowed to be given the privileged to do this.) During this meditation I received the symbol for Self Mastery, a triangle framing a Being superimposed with a spiral. A channel of immense proportions opened and somehow pulled together many of the loose threads;

Angel: "Here you will find your roots. Without strong roots you cannot grow."

It was not until January 2000 that the most extraordinary information came. As I was talking to my daughter on the phone I became like a ventriloquist doll and out of my mouth came the format for the Self Mastery Cards. When I first told my husband Stuart about my board game, in his usual dry style he asked, "How much is that going to cost me?" He must have known, as did the Angels, that we were to self -publish. We did just that in 2001.

Two huge trucks arrived full of the games component parts. When they were unloaded they filled up the house. I stood there frozen, looking and feeling sick. What had I got myself into and where to now?

Angel: "Take one step at a time. Step by sure step. It only takes one step to start it rolling. Word of mouth is your tool."

I was told to collate the cards of which I have passed through my hands nearly 2 million. There are 340 cards per game;

Angel: "You may think the sorting of the cards is a chore, however each card you touch is each person you energetically touch, so how many separate cards have you passed by your hands? You alone are to do this sorting for it is the process of aligning energy that aligns to the many that are healed and changed by Self Mastery. It needs this energy of yours for it is the energy you accepted when you made the decision to take on the journey of self-mastery."

In May 2002 I wrote and taught my first Self Mastery workshop. How do you play the game?

You start by asking a question, a powerful question of the game. Then the game is consulted. Why do questions need to be powerfully stated?

Angel: "Words need to have power to create an effect. Words that have impact generate a form of magic that can cause a massive shift, a revelation and an alchemy. Your problem becomes your opportunity for growth. Powerful words bring powerful answers; have a clear intention and you will manifest your desire."

Synchronicity may be one of the major reasons why those who consult Self Mastery began to experience miracles and healings happening on the physical, emotional, mental and intuitive planes,with questions relating to health, relationships and with other personal issues.

Synchronicity
Carl Jung was the founder of modern day Analytical Psychology. He began to study undefined and unexplained connections, a thought creating matter, an idea manifesting a reflection of that idea. This concept is called synchronicity; a meaningful coincidence of an inner and outer event that in itself is not causally connected. Something happens to mirror or reinforce a thought, insight, dream or desire. Something confirms you are on the right track. You are aligned, in sync and begin to follow the omens on your path.

As Self Mastery is a journey taken with information received and written down you create a focus that brings insight and revelations. I have witnessed many women who had not been in a relationship for many years and yet when they asked a question on the steps to take, guidance to receive, insight to be aware of, or changes they needed to make or patterns to understand in order to create a healthy and powerful relationship, they all experienced within one or two weeks a partner appear on their path or as they have put it. "A man just dropped into my lap!" They all seemed to understand something profound from the journey they played. A very left brained scientist thought it a load of rubbish at first. When he started receiving pertinent information on his question he began to take notice. His was a health issue and information gained encouraged and supported the recovery of his health. A business man was given information to reinforce the effort needed to get a new venture up and going. He called it "spooky!"

It seems that the missing fragments of life come together as you receive Gifts, Challenges, Angels, Dreams, Revelations and Self Mastery cards to overview and form the full picture. The way you play the game is the way you play your life.

Examples: A dental technician needs to be pedantic, detailed, careful and thorough. This one played the way he worked.

A person who served others all her life wanted to help other players. She found it challenging to accept some wonderful and supportive feedback.

One player was scattered and easily distracted and she actually said, "I live my life with distractions." She was fearful of having all her needs met so she sabotaged herself. This is how she played the game.

A Spiritual Healer spent an enormous amount of time circling the physical plane. He was unable to move beyond the physical until he understood that in being grounded on the earth gave him the practical energies to heal on the spiritual. Once he understood this an Angel Card was given and he moved on.

A business women had asked what steps she needed to take to create a million dollar turnover in her business. She was playing with four others and repeated the physical plane ten times. When all the others were entering their Spirit Light arena she received a card that sent her to the Spirit Light. She bypassed the Emotional, Mental and Intuitive planes. To make a turnover of one million dollars of course she would need to work diligently and conscientiously on the physical plane.

I have only experienced positive results with all those who have consulted Self Mastery. The information you receive allows you to become your own oracle thus being wholly responsible for creating your own alchemy. There are no losers, only winners. I have taught Self Mastery to many people and am still realising that this game has so many more dimensions than I had originally envisaged. I am learning about the healing doorways that open to create magic, the linking of hearts and connections made, the spirit light to transform a person supporting them to change their lives and the confidence gained to take the jump from the precipice and fly. A symbol, a phrase, a single word or someone in the group you are sharing the game play with can be the catalyst that triggers a spontaneous energy to bring renewed enthusiasm, shedding light where there was once darkness and releasing old patterns to manifest new seeds of thought. If a player does not consciously get the message immediately the information somehow repeats itself until the truth is heard and acknowledged.

Self Mastery, the game of life, is a tool that takes you into realms of new possibilities. You can consult Self Mastery alone or with up to 5 players who could be your closest friends or aquantances. By the time your journey is complete the connections you make are heart embracing.

Angel: "Never limit yourself for you are limitless."

There is still much to learn, guidance to be received, teachings to be shared and journeys to take.
